I Never Imagined I'd Build a Career in Precision Machining.

Like many people, I discovered this industry by chance. A friend introduced me to a machine shop, and what started as an opportunity quickly became a passion. I walked in knowing nothing about CNC machining or manufacturing as a whole, but I was determined to learn everything I could.

I spent years asking questions, studying every set-up, and learning from highly experienced machinists who had decades in the trade before me. I stayed late, worked Saturdays and Sundays, paid attention to every detail. I worked extremely hard to earn their respect. Every challenge became another opportunity to improve.

Over the years, I grew from keeping the machines running to operating them, performing set-ups, 4th axis set-ups, then 5-axis set-ups — producing one-off prototype parts, programming, scheduling production, and helping manage daily shop operations. That hands-on experience taught me that precision isn't just about making parts. It's about solving problems, meeting deadlines, never accepting defeat, and delivering quality every single time.

Today, I founded TrueCut Machining LLC with one simple goal: to provide manufacturers with a machining partner they can trust. Whether it's an overflow job, a prototype, or a short production run, I believe every part deserves the same level of care, communication, and craftsmanship.

As a woman-owned machine shop — yes, we exist — I hope my journey encourages others to pursue careers in skilled trades. Manufacturing needs hardworking people with curiosity, determination, and a willingness to keep learning. My story is proof that you don't have to know everything on day one. You simply have to be willing to work hard, ask questions, and never stop improving.
